The Bhog & Antim Ardaas for the departed soul was held on Thursday at the native place of late Shri Nakai at the Nakai Farm, Rampura Phul in Bathinda, Punjab.

If former Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab Sukhbir Singh Badal and other senior leaders of Shiromani Akali Dal attended the event, cooperative fraternity was represented by the likes of IFFCO officiating Chairman Dileepbhai Sanghani, MD Dr U S Awasthi, IFFCO board members, and senior officials, Kribhco Chairman Chandra Pal Singh Yadav and other eminent cooperators.

While co-operators cutting across regions or sectors paid him glowing tributes, also the Prime Minister, the Home Minister, and many other cabinet ministers offered their homage to the great leader.

While Prime Minister Narendra Modi called him a man who empowered farmers all his life, Cooperation Minister Amit Shah said it’s an irreparable loss to the cooperative fraternity.

Nakai was born on December 5, 1934 in Bhatinda Punjab. He was a veteran co-operator and served cooperatives throughout his life.
