9th IUCF comes to end, Phulpur emerges victorious

IFFCO’s week long Cultural Program 9th IUCF 2015 which was inaugurated by IFFCO Chairman B S Nakai came to a glorious end on Thursday with the Phulpur unit bagging the award. MD Dr Awasthi distributed prizes to the winners on the concluding day which saw passion of audience reach a climax.

IFFCO Colony in Gurgoan was dolled up for the occasion with local media covering the cultural fest extensively. One of the proud participants claimed to Indian Cooperative” We have taken Gurgaon by storm.”

Though there were bollywood trainers for the show , the show itself was India’s cultural mosaic with many dying art-forms making a comeback on this occasion. There were Kuchipuddi, Mayurbhanj dance, story of Bharathari- and many such performances coming straight from the glorious cultural history of India.

Audience felt refreshed after having been overburdened with vulgarity and meaningless shows currently in vogue everywhere as one of the youngsters quipped ”I did not know India has such a varied cultural history.”

Congratulations began to pour in for the Phulpur unit as soon as results were out. Dr Awasthi the prime mover of ICUF tweeted” Cong. to the #Phulpur unit for being the best team of @IUCF2015. All the participants did well. I am very proud.”

In another tweet he said “ At the grand finale of @IUCF2015 fantastic show of talent. #IFFCO is not only a harbinger of opportunities, its also home to super talent.”

The Thursday show also saw Rekha Awasthi, Dr Awasthi’s better half singing a melodious Ganesh stuti which signaled the start of the show. The audience which has come from all the IFFCO units spread out across the nation was intoxicated with pure joy. They greeted MD’s arrival with a clapping that even bollywood stars would have felt dwarfed.

Obviously, they were giving standing ovation to the man who conceived the idea of cultural fest. . The brand IFFCO got reinforced as the show ended late evening.
