Eighth grade School students across the country would soon begin learning about a dairy cooperative in their geography text book. Even the famed brand Amul has failed to garner this honour so far.

The NCERT has cherry picked the Bihar’s Sudha milk cooperative – a great success story in the field of milk cooperatives for publication.

Bihar state cooperative milk producers federation (Comfed) MD Harjot Kaur has said Sudha’s achievements have finally gained the national recognition they deserved.

Millions of people in Bihar and outside are using Sudha’s milk and other dairy products. The COMPFED established in 1983 is an enterprise run by the government of Bihar.
