Sunil ensures Minister’s presence in AGM; Amrendra lauds Biscomaun

It goes to the credit of Biscomaun Chairman Sunil Kumar Singh that while on the one hand he fights the JDU-BJP govt and on the other he succeeds in inviting its newly appointed Minister to the Biscomaun’s 32nd AGM.

Not only co-operators but also the media were surprised when they saw Amrendra Pratap Singh inaugurating the Annual General Meeting of the state apex marketing federation headed by Sunil last week in Patna despite a busy schedule.

The Minister not only came to the function but also lauded the role being played by the Biscomaun in the farm sector of the state. “I am new to the job but I have heard a lot about the good work being done by the Biscomaun”, said the Minister recalling the latter’s role in urea distribution.

The Biscomaun has single-handedly checked the black-marketing of urea in the state and no words of appreciation are enough, said the Minister. Your role in making onion and apples available to people of the state has also come to my notice, stated the Minister participating in the AGM with an open mind.

It bears recall that Sunil is his rival in the electoral politics but the two leaders-one from BJP and the other from RJD forgot their narrow considerations while together in the cooperative event. Even some of the Directors of Biscomaun including Jitendra Kumar are from the JD(U) but the party affiliations have never been allowed to affect the functioning of the marketing co-op federation, said an old timer.

Thanking the Minister, Biscomaun Chairman Sunil Kumar Singh said that the state govt has been very supportive of Biscomaun’s activities. It is because of the support coming from every corner that Biscomaun has been able to sell urea at a fixed rate across the districts of the state.

“We have sold urea worth Rs 300 crore in this financial year, he underlined. Earning a profit of Rs 12 crore the Biscomaun today has become the main agency for urea and fertilizers distribution among the farmers of the state” Sunil added.

Lauding IFFCO in general and its MD Dr U S Awasthi in particular, Sunil said in the AGM that Biscomaun could not have done this without the support of the IFFCO.

Several Directors of Biscomaun including Jitendra Kumar, Satyendra Singh, Ramesh Chaubey and others thanked the Minister for coming to Biscomaun’s AGM despite his tight schedule. The AGM was conducted observing the covid 19 norms. Except the Chairman of a lone DCCB, all others had come.
