PM congratulates Amul-IFFCO for Global Rankings; Sanghani lauds his leadership

Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated two of the country’s leading cooperatives, Amul and IFFCO, for securing the 1st and 2nd ranks respectively in the global cooperative rankings.

He took to X to laud the achievement, stating that it reflects his vision of ‘Sahkar Se Samriddhi’, which has revitalized the cooperative sector and given fresh impetus to India’s economy.

“Congratulations to Amul and IFFCO. India’s cooperative sector is vibrant and is also transforming several lives. Our government is taking numerous steps to further encourage this sector in the times to come,” PM Modi tweeted.

The global recognition of Amul and IFFCO underscores the strength and potential of India’s cooperative institutions. Both organizations have not only excelled in business performance but have also played a significant role in empowering farmers and rural communities across the country.

Thanking the Prime Minister, IFFCO Chairman Dileep Sanghani said that the visionary leadership of Narendra Modi is making an impact in every sector, and the cooperative sector is no exception. Talking to Indian Cooperative, Sanghani remarked that the icing on the cake for the cooperative sector is the fact that one of the ablest ministers, Amit Shah, has been entrusted with the responsibility of steering the Ministry of Cooperation.

Sanghani further added that the cooperative sector has been brought to the vanguard of India’s growth trajectory ever since the duo of Modi and Shah assumed leadership. With a dedicated and large membership base of cooperatives across India, it is no wonder that co-ops can serve as engines of growth for the country.

He also expressed gratitude to both Narendra Modi and Amit Shah for their unflinching support to the sector and their prompt response to every matter concerning cooperatives.

Sanghani also traced the growth of Amul and IFFCO from Gujarat from a very humble beginning and lauded the subsequent leadership for its magnificent growth.

IFFCO Managing Director K. J. Patel also extended his heartfelt thanks and deep gratitude to the Prime Minister for his encouraging words and inspiring vision of “Sahkar Se Samriddhi”. He said that as a result of this vision, IFFCO has once again brought glory to the nation by contributing towards building an Aatmanirbhar Krishi and an Aatmanirbhar Bharat, paving the way for Samruddh Kisan and Viksit Bharat.

He added that under the able and dynamic leadership of Amit Shah, Union Minister of Home and Cooperation, IFFCO has regained its position as the world’s leading cooperative among the Top 300 Global Cooperatives.

This achievement, Patel noted, is a true reflection of the strength and resilience of India’s cooperative movement, powered by the spirit, unity, and tireless efforts of millions of farmers who form the backbone of IFFCO.

Through continuous innovation, farmer empowerment, and the promotion of sustainable agriculture-especially through the introduction of Nano Fertilisers-IFFCO remains deeply committed to strengthening farmers, agriculture, and the cooperative movement, contributing to the Prime Minister’s vision of “Sahkar Se Samriddhi.”
