Nobody can loot farmers: Modi

On the stump in Punjab, Narendra Modi has made promises to the farming community including fixation of minimum support price to guarantee 50 percent profit for them.

“We will fix the MSP (Minimum Support Price) of crops incorporating 50% profit in farmers cost of production including seed, irrigation, manure, labour ” he said, adding that no one will be allowed to loot farmers.

Modi praised Punjab as a state of wonderful farmers. He hurled barbs at the Congress-led UPA govt. for subjecting farmers to all manner of hardships.

If NDA comes to power, the new govt. would sincerely work hard to get farmers benefits such as remunerative MSP and adequate irrigation facilities. The farmers would not commit suicide and their difficult days would be over, assured Modi.
