IFFCO-MC Crop Science Pvt. Ltd., the joint venture between Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) and Mitsubishi Corporation, Japan, marked its 11th Foundation Day recently with celebrations that reflected both a decade of achievement and a vision for the future.
The occasion coincided with the completion of ten years of delivering trusted agrochemical solutions to Indian farmers, a journey defined by resilience, innovation and farmer-centric initiatives.
The ceremony opened with the traditional lamp-lighting, symbolizing growth and prosperity, led by senior dignitaries including Rakesh Kapur, Chairman, IFFCO-MC; Dr. R.P. Singh, Director, IFFCO-MC; Makoto Hasegawa, Senior Vice President, Mitsubishi Corporation; Manoj Varshney, MD & CEO, IFFCO-MC; Rohit Chopra, Joint CEO; and Tarun Bhargava, COO, IFFCO-MC.
Other leaders from IFFCO, IFFDC, IFFCO eBazar and Mitsubishi Corporation also graced the gathering. A specially curated film chronicling the company’s ten-year journey was screened, capturing milestones such as the introduction of innovative agrochemicals, overcoming challenges in a dynamic market, and sustaining farmer trust.
The event also witnessed the launch of IFFCO-MC’s new corporate website aimed at strengthening engagement with stakeholders and reflecting the company’s forward-looking vision.
In his address, MD & CEO Manoj Varshney underlined the organisation’s achievements in the past decade—building a strong professional team of more than 500, developing 10 successful brands, creating a unique fixed MRP single-tier distribution model, and recording steady profitability culminating in all-time high revenues in FY 2024–25.
He credited teamwork as the foundation of success and pointed to farmer-focused initiatives such as the Kisan Suraksha Bima Yojana, expansion into biological solutions under the ZenNexa brand, and plans for the launch of a patented product in Kharif 2026–27.
Voicing their perspectives, leaders expressed pride in the joint venture’s journey. Naohiro Yoshida, Director, IFFCO-MC, praised the IFFCO-Mitsubishi collaboration as a partnership built on “mutual respect and ambition.”
Dr. R.P. Singh described the decade as “glorious,” shaped by farmer trust, the strength of brand IFFCO, and steadfast support from Mitsubishi.
Chairman Rakesh Kapur reiterated the vision of scaling up faster in the coming decade with new molecules and sustainable crop protection solutions.
Delivering the vote of thanks, Joint CEO Rohit Chopra acknowledged the contributions of all stakeholders and assured that IFFCO-MC will continue to deliver shared success, meaningful impact, and innovative crop solutions for Indian farmers.
