The Gujarat State Cooperative Marketing Federation Ltd. (Gujcomasol) recorded its highest-ever annual turnover of Rs 11,479.69 crore during 2025-26, with profit before tax reaching Rs 59.93 crore, according to its annual report presented at the federation’s Annual General Meeting in Gandhinagar on Sunday.
The AGM was attended by Gujarat Cooperation Minister Jitubhai Vaghani, Gujcomasol Chairman Dileep Sanghani, members of the board and other dignitaries.
Of the total turnover, Rs 3,701.37 crore was recorded in Gujcomasol’s books, while a substantial portion related to transactions for which payments were made directly to farmers through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), in accordance with government directives.
Fertiliser distribution remained one of the federation’s major activities. During 2025-26, Gujcomasol and its affiliated cooperative institutions sold 17.59 lakh metric tonnes of chemical fertilisers, accounting for 40.74% of Gujarat’s total cooperative fertiliser sales of 43.18 lakh metric tonnes.
The federation distributed fertilisers manufactured by IFFCO, KRIBHCO, GSFC, GNFC, IPL, Hindalco and other companies. IFFCO accounted for the largest share, with sales of about 5.52 lakh metric tonnes.
Gujcomasol also distributed 7.63 lakh bottles of Nano Urea and 2.16 lakh bottles of Nano DAP. Farmer meetings and demonstrations, including drone-based spraying demonstrations, were organised to promote awareness about nano fertilisers.
Chemical fertiliser sales through Gujcomasol’s own depots increased to 4.16 lakh metric tonnes in 2025-26, compared with 3.93 lakh tonnes in 2024-25.
Under the Price Support Scheme (PSS), Gujcomasol, on behalf of NAFED and with the support of the Gujarat government, procured major agricultural commodities during the year. Total procurement stood at about 12.27 lakh metric tonnes, valued at approximately Rs 8,979.71 crore. A significant portion was not recorded in the federation’s books because payments were made directly to farmers through DBT.
The federation also strengthened its financial base. Permanent assets increased from Rs 1,570.75 crore to Rs 2,050.08 crore, while reserves and other funds rose from Rs 1,541.998 crore to Rs 2,160.55 crore.
On the employee front, annual salary expenditure increased from Rs 14 crore to Rs 34 crore, while the retirement age was raised from 58 to 60 years.
On the occasion of the International Year of the Woman Farmer, women associated with the cooperative sector were felicitated at the AGM. Separately, Gujcomasol inaugurated an electric vehicle charging station at its Gandhinagar headquarters.
The federation Chairman Dileep Sanghani said it would continue to focus on strengthening cooperative institutions, improving professional capabilities and ensuring the timely availability of agricultural inputs to farmers across Gujarat.
