Co-operators join the nation on Yoga Day

Led by the top co-operators of the country, the co-operative organizations across the states observed International Yoga Day on June 21 by spending time practicing different Yogic asans and exercises.

Not to be left behind, Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar was one of the firsts to put pictures doing yogic asans at his residence.

Other leading co-operators including NCUI President Dileepbhai Sanghani, Kribhco Chairman Chandra Pal Singh Yadav, IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi , among others celebrated 21st June as International Yoga Day.

Besides co-operators, several cooperative organizations across the country also celebrated the day with full gusto. Due to covid-19, co-operators mostly did yoga at their respective residences.

It bears recalling that at the behest of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi June 21 is celebrated globally as the International Day of Yoga and the theme for the seventh edition of International Yoga Day is, “Yoga for wellness”.

This International Yoga Day, however, was celebrated differently due to the Covid 19. With pandemic in mind, people were asked to celebrate Yoga Day indoors.

Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar did yoga at his residence. “Congratulations to all on the occasion of 7th International Yoga Day”, he wrote on social media.

NCUI President Dileepbhai Sanghani also practiced yoga at home. He shared the photos through social media in which he was seen performing many yoga asanas including kapalbhati, bhujangasana and others.

Kribhco Chairman Chandra Pal wrote on the occasion “Wishing you all a very Happy International Yoga Day. Do yoga Stay Healthy”.

The IFFCO MD reminded his followers to do Yoga and inspired them by tweeting, “Healthy Greetings of #InternationalYogaDay to everyone. Yoga keeps us active & fresh; physically as well as mentally. It’s an art, science & perfect combination of wellness, fitness & internal spirituality. Stay Fit & Healthy. #IYD2021 #InternationalYogaDay2021 #YogaDay2021″.

To celebrate the day, Amul has also shared something creative on social media in its characteristic style. Amul captioned its post on Instagram: “Amul Topical: Celebrating World Yoga Day!”.

Janata Sahakari Bank, Pune wrote on its fakebook wall, ” Colleagues from Janata Sahakari Bank participated in an online program organized today on the occasion of International Yoga Day. Good wishes were expressed for good health to all.

Meerut DCCB Chairman Maninder Pal Singh did yoga with children at his residence. Indian cooperative received scores of mails and photographs related to the International Yoga Day from cooperative institutions from across the country.
