Co-operators join Prime Minister Modi in conveying Diwali greetings

Co-operators across the country joined in conveying wishes and greetings to one and all on the auspicious occasion of Diwali. Since there are more than 37 crore Indians who are part of the cooperative fraternity in the country, top co-operators including NCUI President took to social media to express their wishes to them.

The co-operative giants such as IFFCO, Amul, Kribhco, and others also greeted the nation and their members in their own style. Union Minister and high-profile politician Amit Shah, who also heads the Co-op Ministry, tweeted his greetings to the nation. Shah wrote, “Happy Diwali to all the countrymen. May this festival of lights bring happiness, health and prosperity in everyone’s life’.

Led by the President of the apex body NCUI Dileep Sanghani, several top-notch co-operators took to social media greeting the nation on the occasion of the festival of lights. Sanghani wrote, “Wishing you all a very Happy Diwali. May Diwali, the festival of lights, fill everyone’s life with joy, happiness and prosperity”.

IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi wrote, “Deepawali warm wishes to all. May everyone’s life be lit up with happiness and enthusiasm. May this divine festival of lights make you shine with peace, prosperity and happiness & keep you healthy. Happy Deepawali.” Awasthi was busy receiving guests throughout the day. Shakeela Akhtar, a leading women co-operator from J&K who is from a Women’s Welfare Multipurpose Cooperative, came to Delhi to greet Dr. Awasthi.

In his message, Kribhco Chairman Dr. Chandra Pal Singh Yadav wrote, “I wish a happy and prosperous Deepawali to our fellow countryman and pray that lord Ganesha and Ma Laxmi be always benevolent on the cooperative sector and on the people connected with it.”

Amul, the Indian dairy cooperative society, official Twitter handle wrote, “Celebrate this Diwali with great dishes made extra delicious with Amul Milk! Amul wishes you a bright, prosperous, and happy Diwali!”

Besides, Nafcub President Jyotindra Mehta wished his friends and families on the occasion by writing on his Facebook wall. “Diwali is an occasion to let the lights of diyas and candles illuminate not just your home, but your life too”, he wrote.

Social media was flooded with messages from many other co-operators including NDDB Chairman Meenesh Shah, Meerut DCCB Chairman Satyapal Singh, and other local cooperators of respective states.

NDDB Chairman Meenesh Shah in his message wrote, “May this auspicious festival of lights illuminate us with new thoughts and actions to consistently work for bringing about joy, prosperity and happiness to the lives of our rural households”.

The WhatsApp group known as “Bharatiya Sahakari Samvad” comprises cooperators across the country who wished each other on Diwali. There were messages from different parts of the country as well as different sectors of co-operatives.

Another WhatsApp group run by Sahakar Bharati Karyakartas, known as “Bina Sahakar Nahi Sanskar” also greeted its members. There are three-four more WhatsApp groups run by co-operators of different regions which recorded a number of reactions on the occasion of Deepawali.

Greeting the nation Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi tweeted, “Wishing everyone a Happy Diwali. Diwali is associated with brightness and radiance. May this auspicious festival further the spirit of joy and well-being in our lives. I hope you have a wonderful Diwali with family and friends.”

The Indian Cooperative team also joins the nation in conveying its good wishes on Diwali!
