Co-op Movement Protection Council sets agenda for NCUI?

A body which is based in Telangana and calls itself Co-operative Movement Protection Council has written letter to NCUI demanding to set the agenda of the soon-to-begin Co-op Week according to its choice. Co-op Week is celebrated from 14th to 20 November every year.

Based in Secunderabad it asks the President and Chief Executive of not only the National Cooperative Union of India but also to all the National Cooperative Apex Institutions, ICMS, State Cooperative Unions, DCCBs to celebrate the 65 All India Coop Week the way it wants.

While Indian Cooperative is verifying its address, the mobile number given in its mail sent to us is wrong. The mail has been sent by one Sambarapu Bhoomaiah.

It writes “The Sahakara Samrakshana Samithi (Cooperative Movement Protection Council) is an association of the Cooperators and a forum for the cooperators and cooperatives, striving for the protection of the cooperative concept and the cooperative movement of State and National level.

“On the occasion of the 65 All India Cooperative Week celebration from November 14-20, 2018, we the Cooperative Movement Protection Council, is humbly placing the Agenda for the Indian National Cooperative Movement, for positive discussions and necessary follow up in the interest of Rural India’s Socio-economic development”, the mail reads.

Giving details of its agenda it gives date wise planning

AGENDA:

  1. 14-11-2018 : Protect the Cooperative Sector Day
  2. 15-11-2018 : National Cooperative Bank of India Day
  3. 16-11-2018 : Provision allowing the Cooperatives to convert into Farmers Producers company under the companies(Amendment)Act-2003,beRemovedDay.
  4. 17-11-2018 : Cooperative sector is natural ally of Govts. in establishing the welfare state concept of our Indian Constitution Day.
  5. 18-11-2018 : Financial assistance to DCCB / SCBs on par with commercial banks to reduce The NPA Day.
  6. 19-11-2018 : Pronounce the national godowns policy to get the fair price to The Agriculture Produce Day.
  7. 20-11-2018 : Amendments to the Income Tax Act, to effectuate the non-taxing on income of users business i.e. Cooperatives Day.
