Co-operators of different sectors of the co-operative world have hailed the decision of the Modi govt to create a separate ministry for cooperatives. While NCUI President Dileep Sanghani called it historic, IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi said it a landmark decision.
Historic! Thanks to the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji for creating a separate Ministry for Cooperatives to realize the vision of “Sahakar Se Samruddhi”. This will help the cooperative movement reach out to the grassroot level.
Dr U S Awasthi:
The Govt of India under the leadership of PM took a historic & revolutionary step of creating a new ‘Ministry of Co-Operation’ to strengthen & power the cooperative movement in the country to do more business between each other.
The new ‘Ministry of Co-Operation’ will lead to the growth & development of rural India. It will strengthen and empower the cooperative movement in the country.
I salute the Prime Minister for such a welcome move. It will lend strength to the co-operative movement. Co-operative and cooperative alone can help the poor. Be it a matter of farmers’ prosperity or youth employment, cooperatives play a big role and I appreciate the PM’s move from my deeper hearts.
Sahakar Bharati hails the decision of the Modi Government to form a separate CoOp Ministry at the Centre. Sahakar Bharati in its Executive Committee meeting held on 27/28Feb 2021 at Delhi, unanimously resolved that considering the relevance of CoOp movement it is absolutely necessary to have a separate CoOp Ministry at the Centre.
Sahakar Bharati also welcomes the vision of the Central Govt to have, “Sahakar se samriddhi”. This decision will enable it to provide “Ease of Doing Business” facility to Multi State CoOp Societies. CoOp will definitely be in the limelight and facilitate the people centric model of economic development.
The less said about it the better. The visionary Prime Minister saw that from green revolution to white and blue ones, co-ops have played a stellar role and a separate ministry for cooperation is the need of the hour.
Subsumed under agriculture few realized the role played by co-operatives, but now the difference would be clear. It is cooperatives which have lent strength to agriculture.
R S Sodhi
It’s a revolutionary step by @PMOIndia recognising the role cooperatives can play in creating big businesses by small holders/farmers /workers/traders.”
It’s a landmark decision n would go a long way in realising the real potential of cooperative sector and will boost its role in development of rural economy in the country.
