Sahakar Bharati marks its 45th foundation day with enthusiasm

Sahakar Bharati joyously marks its 45th foundation day today, January 11th, with celebrations resonating among its numerous workers across states. The enthusiasm is mirrored on social media platforms, flooded with congratulatory messages.

Among the well-wishers are the office bearers of Sahakar Bharati, including President DN Thakur, National General Secretary Uday Joshi, National Organizing Secretary Sanjay Pachpor, and founder members Satish Marathe, Jyotindra Mehta, and others, all extending their greetings on this momentous occasion.

In his message to the dedicated workers of Sahakar Bharati, President DN Thakur expressed, “On the 45th foundation day, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all the Karyakartas tirelessly working to elevate the cooperative movement to new heights.”

Established in 1979, Sahakar Bharati has evolved into the largest pan-India organization in the Cooperative Sector. Thousands of cooperatives across various sectors are actively associated with Sahakar Bharati’s initiatives, activities, and programs.

News of the celebrations and well-wishes is pouring in from different corners of the country. Sahakar Bharati Karyakartas, connected through WhatsApp groups, are also exchanging greetings and expressions of joy.

Remarkably active in 27 states and operational in 600 districts nationwide, Sahakar Bharati’s mission is succinctly captured in the powerful couplet, “Without values, there is no cooperation; without cooperation, there is no progress.”

For 45 years, Sahakar Bharati has been a guiding force for India’s cooperative movement, inspiring the establishment of numerous cooperative institutions nationwide. Their unwavering dedication to serving underprivileged and marginalized communities has yielded significant impact.

Beyond promoting individual economic self-sufficiency, Sahakar Bharati has consistently emphasized the cultivation of ethical values within the cooperative spirit. Their tireless efforts in educating the public about the benefits of cooperation empower communities to harness collective power for upliftment and progress.

Late Shri Laxmanrao alias VakilSaheb Inamdar, often regarded as the “Guiding Light” of Sahakar Bharati, played a pivotal role in shaping the organization’s early principles, emphasizing the importance of “Sanskar” (ethical values) and community-driven progress.

Satish Marathe, another founder member and former National President, significantly contributed to Sahakar Bharati’s growth and advocacy for cooperatives. His active promotion of the organization’s vision and mission through various initiatives and leadership roles has been instrumental.

Beyond the founding members, a group of dedicated visionaries joined forces to establish Sahakar Bharati in 1979. Their collective efforts, passion, and commitment laid the foundation for the organization’s impactful journey.
