Marathe condemns Shourie for Modi Bashing

Sahakar Bharati Chief  Mr Satish Marathe has condemned journalist turned politician Arun Shourie for his attack on the functioning of the Narendra Modi govt.

In his FB wall, a pained Marathe wrote” The remark undermines the stature of Shourieji. His observations are simply unfair, uncharitable!”

Readers would note that his attack Shourie on Monday said Modi govt believes that managing economy means “managing the headlines” and that people have started harking back to the good old days of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

“Doctor Singh (Manmohan Singh) ko log yaad karne lag gaye hain (people have started recalling the days of Manmohan Singh). The present government is – Congress policies plus cow.,” Shourie said at a book launch function.

Responding to Marathe’s post Jyotindra Mehta-another important cooperator from Gujarat which is also on the board of NCUI said it was not fair on the part of Shourie.

Some of the more aggressive friends of Marathe used strong words to condemn Shourie. One of them wrote “By his statements he has proved that BJP was 100% correct by not giving him any post. Similarly, Shatru is out to prove that he is not fit to be in the BJP.”

Readers would know that IFFCO has chosen Satish Marathe to bestow Sahakarita Ratna award on him for the year 2015. This award is conferred on individual eminent cooperators who have rendered selfless services to the furtherance and development of the cooperative movement.

The awards carry an amount of Rs five lakh each along with a citation. The awards are generally presented in a function convened at New Delhi on the occasion of the Nehru’s birth anniversary.
