Kerala Minister to kick off NCUI’s 67th All India Co-op Week

The apex body of cooperatives in the country NCUI is going to kick off the 67th All India Cooperative Week on the occasion of Diwali i.e. 14 November 2020 through video conferencing.

Kerala Cooperative Minister Kadakampally Surendran will be the Chief Guest at the inaugural function which will begin at 11:30 am on 14th November.

Believing that the co-operative model alone is capable of rewriting the fortune of India the 67th All India Cooperative Week’s theme is ‘Covid Pandemic-Atmanirbhar Bharat- Cooperatives”.

The objective of the Cooperative Week celebrations is to generate cooperative awareness among the masses. The plan is to highlight the successes and achievements of the cooperative movement, and also chalk out the future strategies for strengthening the cooperative movement in the country.

The week-long celebrations will consist of organizing seminars, workshops, conferences, and various other events to popularize the cooperative model among the youth.

Besides the Minister, several eminent dignitaries are participating in the webinar. The event will be presided over by NCUI’s President Dr. Chandra Pal Sing Yadav.

ICA-AP Regional Director Balu Iyer, RBI Central Board Director Satish Marathe, Amul MD R S Sodhi, ex-IIMC DG and VC of Bhopal’s Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication K G Suresh, IRMA Director Prof Hitesh Bhatt will be distinguished panellists and guests of honour.

The event will be hosted by NCUI CE N Satyanarayana. Sharing the news through social media, NCUI wrote, “We have a rich galaxy of speakers with thought-provoking speeches for the inaugural function of Coop Week to be organized by NCUI on 14th November at 11.30 AM”.
