vipul_chaudharyAccording to a Times of India report, Gujarat’s registrar of cooperative societies has issued the show-cause notice to Mehsana Dairy’s chairman Vipul Chaudhary seeking his explanation on various allegations of irregularities leveled against him as the head of both Mehsana Dairy and GCMMF. Mr. Chaudhary has got relief at least for the time being from the Supreme Court. The latter has issued a notice to the state co-operative registrar returnable and also passed an interim order that in case an adverse order is passed against Chaudhary it shall not be implemented till further orders of the court. Also, the court has further recorded that any order passed by registrar of co-operatives be placed before the court.

Chaudhary had earlier petitioned the apex court. in the matter.

Earlier this month, Chaudhary had suffered a setback when a division bench of Gujarat high court while rejecting his appeal against the show-cause notice issued by the co-operatives registrar had also fined him Rs 7,500.

Mr. Chaudhary had taken illegal decisions as chairman of Dudhsagar dairy and GCMMF and supplied cattle feed to Maharashtra causing losses to the dairy union. He  had  made illegal recruitment, purchased sugar at a higher price and sanctioned travel allowance to a person who was not a member of the society.
