Cow and buffalo ranches across Gujarat are likely to be supplied soon with more feed-stuff in a bid to sustain a wider milk procurement network in the state.
Word has it that altogether eight to nine new feed plants will be set up.
According to an estimate, five to six hundred crore rupees will be spent on making these plants operational.
Sources say given that Gujarat produces millions of litres of milk every day it needs several thousands of metric tonne of dairy cattle feed.
