The great news is that Amul has annexed the world dairy innovation award for 2014. The announcement was made at the 8th global dairy congress held recently in Istanbul, Turkey. There were 160 entries from 30 countries in 17 categories.
The entry ‘Amul kool in PET bottle’ was declared the best innovation in brand extension. Amul has got the international recognition it richly deserved, experts say.
Amul relies on innovation and expansion for its continuous growth, experts elaborated. R.S.Sodhi MD GCMMF that markets Amul said” our commitment to expansion, innovation and brand building has finally been admired at the global level’.
The World Dairy Innovation Awards are announced at the Global Dairy Congress in recognition of excellence and innovation in the global dairy industry. This began in 2007.
GCMMF is India’s largest milk and milk products marketing cooperative with annual turnover of Rs. 18,150 crores.
