I am a resident of a co operative society and a house wife…I have been taking Tutions at home to kill my time but society is objecting to it…I just wanted to ask whether is it legal to take tutions t home..
It is not done on commercial basis…Its only 4-5 students coming at my place….
Please guide n help…

I C Naik

I have dealt with this subject at length in 2014. Read on…

https://www.indiancooperative.com/cooperative-queries/can-we-stop-tuition-classes-in-chs/

In that case the society wanted to stop tuition provided by a member which many members were not in favour. So you have to read with that frame of mind.

In another case a member wanted to continue sub-letting of part of a flat to singles  paying guests, which her housing society  wanted to stop. I had examined in depth to see if such exceptions can be tolerated on human grounds but could not find a way.
