Yogi Pushes Village-Level Dairy Cooperatives

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath chaired a high-level meeting to review the integrated development of the state’s dairy sector, with a special focus on strengthening dairy cooperatives, enhancing milk procurement and improving indigenous cattle productivity.

The meeting was attended by senior officials, including Additional Chief Secretary (Animal Husbandry and Dairy) Mukesh Kumar Mesram, National Dairy Development Board Chairman Dr. Meenesh Shah, Dairy Commissioner Dhanalakshmi K., PCDF Managing Director Vaibhav Srivastava, NDDB Dairy Services Managing Director Dr. C.P. Devanand, Mother Dairy representative Rajendra Seagal and other stakeholders.

Dr. Shah presented a comprehensive overview of Uttar Pradesh’s dairy sector, highlighting the performance of dairy cooperatives, milk producer institutions, NDDB-led innovations and future development plans.

Appreciating NDDB’s efforts in the state, the Chief Minister said Uttar Pradesh holds immense potential for rural prosperity through dairying and allied activities.

He assured the state government’s full support to NDDB and directed officials to accelerate the formation of new village-level dairy cooperative societies, strengthen milk collection networks and enhance the productivity of indigenous cow breeds.
