The National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) convened a Regional Workshop on White Revolution 2.0 in Mumbai to review the progress made during 2025-26 and chart out strategies for 2026-27 across the Western Region.
The workshop brought together representatives from the Ministry of Cooperation, Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying (DAHD), state governments, milk unions, milk federations, and milk producer organisations from Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Goa.
Key participants included V. Srinivas, Regional Head (Western Region), NDDB; Dayanand Sawant, Deputy Commissioner, DAHD; Dr. Pradnya Tayade, Joint Registrar (Dairy), Maharashtra; D.P. Singh, Deputy Registrar, Madhya Pradesh; and Mohd. Rashid, Senior Manager, NDDB.
During the deliberations, stakeholders reviewed state-wise achievements and targets under White Revolution 2.0 and discussed measures to strengthen implementation at the grassroots level. The focus remained on improving coordination among dairy stakeholders, expanding dairy cooperative networks, promoting the formation of new Dairy Cooperative Societies (DCSs), and enhancing milk procurement and production.
The workshop also emphasized accelerating dairy sector growth, increasing farmer participation, and ensuring sustainable development of the cooperative dairy ecosystem across Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Goa in the coming year.
