West Bengal govt to revive defunct co-ops

West Bengal cooperative minister said the state govt intends to reactivate Kisan Credit Cards and defunct cooperative societies. The minister was addressing a symposium on how to ensure paddy procurement by cooperative societies.

Govt would undertake a massive paddy procurement drive soon to ensure farmers could avail the minimum support price by selling their produce to cooperatives or to the government, reports UNI.
