Veteran cooperator Annaji Mendjoge passes away

A cooperative doyen and a formidable name Manohar Narhar alias Annaji Mendjoge passed away last Friday at the age of 88. He played an active innings in the cooperative sector in Maharashtra.

Several prominent leaders including CM Devendra Fadnavis and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari visited Mendjoge’s house and paid tributes to the departed soul. Fadnavis and Gadkari recalled his contributions to the co-operative movement.

An avowed Swayamsevak Mendjoge founded Shikshak Sahakari Bank SSB and developed it into a major co-operative institution. He was Director of Vidarbha Urban Banks Association, and Maharashtra Urban Banks Federation. He was Chairman of the board of administrators appointed on Nagpur Co-operative Bank.

Including Vamcicom Mendjoge was associated with several organisations such as Apex Bank, Nagpur Nagarik Bank, Vidarbha Premier Co-operative Society, etc. Sahakar Bharati also expressed deep grief over demise of Mendjoge.
