Verma reviews working of Ministry of Cooperation

Union Minister of State for Cooperation BL Verma took stock of the situation of activities of the newly created Ministry of Cooperation on Wednesday at Krishi Bhawan.

In the meeting, the discussion was held about the Computerization of PACs, the National Cooperative Database, and the point-wise deliberation on the Union Budget allocated for the co-ops. The Minister also reviewed the studies being undertaken by different National Level Federations including NCUI, NAFCUB, NAFSCOB, etc. on various issues at the grassroots level.

On the occasion, Union Cooperation Minister Amit Shah’s OSD in the cooperative department Dr. K K Tripathy, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Cooperative, Abhay Kumar, and others were present. The Central Registrar of Cooperative Societies was conspicuous by his absence.

The meeting lasted 45 minutes. Soon after the meeting, Verma shared the details and photographs through social media.
