Abhinath Shinde, Founder of Venkatesh Multistate Cooperative Credit Society (MSCS), recently met Dr. K. Paul Thomas, Founder and Managing Director of ESAF Small Finance Bank, and congratulated him on the bank’s landmark achievement of crossing a Rs 50,000 crore business mix.
Describing the interaction as highly inspiring, Shinde praised Dr. Thomas for his visionary leadership, humility and steadfast commitment to financial inclusion.
He said the meeting was particularly meaningful as both share roots in the cooperative credit movement, making ESAF’s journey from a grassroots initiative to a leading small finance bank an inspiring example of institution building.
During the meeting, the two discussed financial inclusion, entrepreneurship and the evolving role of cooperative institutions in expanding access to formal financial services.
