The Vaikunth Mehta National Institute of Cooperative Management (VAMNICOM), Pune, held a strategic meeting with the Bihar Cooperative Department to enhance collaboration in cooperative education and research.
The session was led by VAMNICOM’s Vijayashri Bhagawati and attended by Bihar’s Cooperative Secretary Dharmendra Singh, IAS, and Registrar of Cooperative Societies Smt. Inayat Khan, IAS.
Discussions centered on launching joint training programs, research projects, and capacity-building initiatives aimed at strengthening Bihar’s cooperative sector.
This collaboration aligns with the objectives of the International Year of Cooperatives 2025 and supports the Ministry of Cooperation’s “Sahkar Se Samriddhi” vision.
Both institutions emphasized the importance of knowledge exchange and grassroots development to empower primary agricultural credit societies (PACS) and other cooperative entities.
The partnership is expected to contribute significantly to the creation of a National Cooperative Database and the advancement of cooperative governance across the state.
