Uttarkashi District Cooperative Bank Chairperson Sharda Rana flagged negligence in loan recovery during a review meeting and issued strict instructions to officials to strengthen recovery efforts.
During the meeting, it was informed that the bank had distributed interest-free loans worth Rs 40 crore to farmers and youth.
Rana emphasised that timely recovery was essential to maintaining the bank’s financial health and ensuring continued credit support to beneficiaries.
She directed officials to improve monitoring of outstanding loans, take timely follow-up action and ensure greater accountability in recovery operations.
