Uttarakhand: Cong demands resignation of co-op minister

Uttarakhand Opposition Congress held a dharna outside the secretariat in Dehradun raising the issue of corruption in the recruitment of peons in cooperative banks and demanding cooperative minister Dhan Singh Rawat’s immediate resignation, reports PTI.

Prominent Congress leaders including former PCC president Ganesh Godiyal, PCC president Karan Mahra and former chief minister Harish Rawat took part in the protest.

Congress alleges deserving candidates were rejected and the kin of ministers and their favorites were given jobs.
