UP Co-op Union elects Shivendra Singh as Chairman

In a significant boost to the cooperative movement in the state, BJP leader Shivendra Singh has been elected unopposed as Chairman of the Uttar Pradesh Cooperative Union, while Braj Kishor Gupta elected as Vice-Chairman.

The elections, held under the directives of the State Cooperative Election Authority and the District Election Officer-cum-District Magistrate, Lucknow, saw a unanimous mandate for the new leadership, reflecting strong consensus within the cooperative fraternity.

The newly formed management committee also includes prominent names such as NCDC Governing Council Member Dhananjay Kumar Singh, Shivdatt Narayan Singh, Abhay Singh Chauhan, Hariom Mishra, Suresh Gangwar, Divakar Mishra, Jayveer Singh Sirohi, Ramniwas Yadav, and Balendra Pratap Singh, all elected unopposed.

Further strengthening inclusivity, Sharda Singh, Usha Maurya, and Akanksha Sonkar have been nominated as members.

With a blend of experience and fresh energy, the new team is expected to steer Uttar Pradesh’s cooperative sector towards greater efficiency, transparency, and growth, benefiting farmers, consumers, and grassroots institutions alike.
