The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has chosen to use ghee from the ‘Nandini’ brand, with an order already placed, media reports say.
Nandini is a well-known dairy brand in South India, comparable to Amul and Mother Dairy in the North. Owned by the Karnataka Cooperative Milk Producers Federation (KMF), Nandini is Karnataka’s largest dairy, with a presence in neighboring states.
KMF was founded in 1955 and expanded through the White Revolution.
