The issue of inclusion of Tripura State Co-operative Bank Ltd., Tripura in the Second Schedule to the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934 was resolved with a notification from the apex bank on Thursday.
In the notification the RBI says “We advise that the name of “Tripura State Co-operative Bank Ltd., Tripura” has been included in the Second Schedule to the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934 by Notification DCBR.CO.RCBD.No.01/19.51.025/2018-19 dated October 19, 2018 published in the Gazette of India (Weekly No. 2 – Part III – Section 4) dated January 12 – January 18, 2019.
The letter has been signed by Neeraj Nigam, Chief General Manager of RBI and is addressed to all the state co-op banks and central banks.
