Tripura Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu visited the Gomati Milk Co-operative Producers’ Union Limited at Indranagar and reviewed its operations and infrastructure, highlighting the crucial role of dairy cooperatives in rural development.
During the visit, the Governor inspected various facilities of the milk union and interacted with milk-producing farmers as well as agents involved in the sale of milk and dairy products.
He took stock of their experiences, challenges, and suggestions for improving the cooperative dairy ecosystem in the state.
Appreciating the efforts of dairy farmers and cooperative members, the Governor acknowledged their significant contribution to Tripura’s dairy sector and rural economy. He noted that dairy cooperatives provide sustainable livelihoods to thousands of families and play an important role in enhancing farmers’ incomes.
