TMC sweeps co-op elections in West Bengal

A news outlet reports the BJP has been routed in elections to cooperatives in the West Bengal. Even the BJP leader of the opposition in the state assembly, Subhendu Adhikari’s influence failed to help the party win even one seat.

The Trinamool Congress won 51 out of 52 constituencies in Nandigram’s Birulia Gram Panchayat area.

The BJP got only 3-4 percent votes in Nandigram. Trinamool won all the Marishda of Kanthi 3 blocks.

Sources say the TMC has swept cooperative elections.
