Himachal police have taken nearly a dozen people into custody for their involvement in misappropriation of Rs.33 crore at the Talai Seva Cooperative Assembly Committee in Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh, Media reports say.
The accused allegedly disbursed loans to outsiders in violation of the guidelines.
The scam came to light in the audit report. Sources say further investigation is underway.
