One of the directors of Surat based Sumul Dairy Jayesh Natvarbhai Patel has joined the Bharatiya Janata Party on Monday in the presence of BJP Chief C R Patil. He has been active in the Sural District. He has also been a director of Sumul Dairy for the past 20 years.
Besides, he is a delegate of Kribhco and has been chief of Parshottam Farmers Mandli. He has been vice president of Olpad College Sanchalak Mandal, according to media reports.
During the joining ceremony, Sumul Dairy Chairman Raju Pathak, MLA Mukesh Patel and others were present.
Incidentally, the election in the dairy is underway and voting will take place on 7th August 2020. However, the reasons responsible for Patel joining BJP are not yet clear.
Sumul is one among the 17 district unions which act as a manufacturing unit of dairy products for Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), the marketers of Amul brand of products.
