Sudha’s ambitious growth plan

Radha Mohan SinghIt is thanks to Union Agriculture Minister, Radha Mohan Singh that Bihar will witness once again huge growth in dairy field. National Dairy Development Board has sanctioned more than a dozen sub-projects with an outlay of Rs. 2580.34 lakh for the state.

The amount of money sanctioned would be spent on fodder development, ration balancing program and rural milk procurement. A part of the amount would be spent by various milk unions across the state as ‘ end implementing agencies” Sources say 14 sub -projects altogether would be implemented.

The whole scheme is being started under the ”the national dairy plan 1 begun in the year 2012.

It deserves mention that the NDP-I aims to help increase the productivity of milch animals and thereby increase milk production to meet the rapidly growing demand for milk in the country as well as to help provide rural milk producers with greater access to the organised milk-processing sector.
