Despite a slowdown in the economy especially in the manufacturing sector, the cooperative movement remains robust and dynamic. It is remarkable indeed that small finance schemes operated by cooperative banks have begun creating job creation in rural areas.
Sources are quoted saying these schemes have started after the govt of India announcing to support farmers’ production crops through matching grants and to set up a fund to cover bank loans.
