Souharda celebrates International Women’s Day

In a meaningful celebration of International Women’s Day, Karnataka State Souharda Federal Cooperative Ltd., based in Bengaluru, orchestrated an empowering event. With the participation of 105 women from 46 different Souharda cooperatives, the program aimed to uplift and educate.

Dr. Aruna Muralidhar, a distinguished Obstetrician & Gynecologist, inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp. She delved into crucial topics like high-risk pregnancies, medical disorders during pregnancy, and adolescent health, providing invaluable insights. Stressing the importance of women’s involvement in family and societal activities, she underscored the program’s significance for women’s economic and social development.

Presiding over the event was Shri G. Nanjana Gowda, President of Karnataka State Souharda Federal Cooperative Ltd. Distinguished guests, including Mrs. Gagana K, Deputy Registrar of Cooperative Societies, and Sri Saranagowda G Patil, Managing Director of KSSFCL, graced the occasion.

The program also recognized five exceptional women for their contributions in various fields, from organic farming to education and social services. In the valedictory session, Shri A R Prasanna Kumar, Vice President of KSSFCL, emphasized the importance of such events in fostering women’s growth and encouraged continued participation.

Directors Mrs. Shailaja Thapali and Mrs. Bharathi G Bhat expressed their hopes for similar programs statewide. Participants shared positive feedback, affirming the program’s success in empowering women. With comprehensive reports and presentations highlighting its effectiveness, the event concluded on a note of inspiration and encouragement for women’s advancement.
