Newspaper reports say J & K Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha recently visited the AMUL plant at Anand District, Gujarat to see up close the facilities like milk production, processing and other related products.
RS Sodhi, MD took the Lt. governor around the facilities. Sinha said there was the growth potential for milk production and dairy farming in the union territory and Amul could play an important role in this context.
The Lt. governor urged the Amul MD to work out a comprehensive plan for effecting major changes in the dairy sector in the union territory.
