The Sikkim State Cooperative Union (SICUN) has finalised an academic collaboration with Tribhuvan Sahakari University (TSU), Anand, to launch a three-month Certificate Course in Cooperative Management from the third week of November 2026.

The programme will be conducted at SICUN’s Junior Cooperative Training Centre (JCTC) and will focus on professional training, capacity building and development of skilled human resources for Sikkim’s cooperative sector.

The final meeting on the course’s affiliation and academic implementation was held with TSU Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) S. P. Singh in Anand. The required formalities, including the course brochure, have been completed and SICUN is preparing for the first batch.

The course will follow TSU’s academic standards and provide participants with structured knowledge of cooperative management, practical exposure and professional skills.

SICUN Chairman Dr. Mangal Jit Rai thanked the university leadership for its support and invited the Vice-Chancellor to Sikkim for the course launch.

The collaboration is expected to expand access to specialised cooperative education and strengthen professional capacity in the state.
