Shah to interact with Board members of NCCF today

Extending his co-op connect campaign further, Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to meet the board members of National Cooperative Consumers Federation (NCCF) today i.e. on Wednesday.

The meeting will be held at the headquarters of National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC), which is opposite to the NCCF headquarters. He will meet the NCCF board members for the first time after becoming the cooperation minister.

Talking to the Indian Cooperative, NCCF Chairman said that the minister would be briefed about various activities of the consumer co-op. “We will update him on what NCCF has done  in the last year. We will also brief him on our future goals”, said Vishal Singh who is the son of Ajit Singh and a grandson of Bihar’s veteran co-operator Tapeshwar Singh.

It is worth mentioning that NCCF is playing an important role in controlling the prices of food commodities. At present, they are providing Onion & Chana dal to the consumers at the stabilized rates through their mobile vans.

Besides Vishal, Shah is likely to meet several other top co-operators including Dileep Sanghani, Dr Chandra Pal Singh Yadav and Bijender Singh, among others. They are on the Board of NCCF.

Earlier, Shah visited the head offices of IFFCO, KRIBHCO, NAFED and NCUI in Delhi. It bears recalling that last month NCCF organized its 53rd AGM where it was revealed that the total sale of NCCF stood at Rs 2811 crore and it earned a net profit of Rs 29.25 crore as on 31st March 2023.
