Maharashtra-based Kaijs Bank has crossed a business mix of Rs 4,800 crore and announced plans to expand its footprint into Gujarat with the opening of two new branches in Ahmedabad and Surat.

The announcement was made at the bank’s 64th Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on Thursday. The bank informed shareholders that its total business has crossed Rs 4,800 crore and that it has received all necessary approvals for the proposed branches, paving the way for its entry into Gujarat.

Kaijs Bank currently operates 46 branches across Maharashtra and nine branches in Karnataka. The proposed expansion is expected to strengthen its presence in western India.

Led by Chairman Swapnil Awade, the bank reported deposits of Rs 2,975.25 crore and advances of Rs 1,893.72 crore as on March 31, 2025. It posted a net profit of Rs 16.69 crore and maintained a net NPA of 1.86 per cent during the financial year.

The AGM reviewed the bank’s financial performance and growth strategy, with the management expressing confidence in further expanding its business operations.

The bank had recently drawn attention following the inauguration of its new administrative building by Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah, a milestone that highlighted its growing stature in the cooperative banking sector.
