Shah to inaugurate IFFCO’s Sulphuric Acid Plant

Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) is set to mark a significant milestone in India’s cooperative and agricultural landscape with the inauguration of its Sulphuric Acid Plant–III at the Paradeep Unit in Paradeep, Odisha on March 6, 2026.

The plant will be inaugurated by Amit Shah, Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, underscoring the Centre’s continued thrust on strengthening the cooperative movement across the country. Mohan Charan Majhi, Chief Minister of Odisha, will grace the occasion as the Guest of Honour.

The commissioning of Sulphuric Acid Plant–III marks a significant step towards enhancing domestic fertiliser production capacity, improving operational efficiency at the Paradeep complex, and advancing agricultural self-reliance. The event will also reflect IFFCO’s commitment to industrial growth, sustainability, and farmer empowerment through the cooperative model.

The grand inauguration ceremony will be streamed live on IFFCO’s official YouTube channel, enabling cooperative members and stakeholders nationwide to join the landmark occasion.
