On Monday, Ashish Kumar Bhutani, Secretary, Ministry of Cooperation, chaired a high-level review meeting at Atal Akshay Urja Bhawan to assess the progress of the proposed “Tribhuvan” Cooperative University in Anand.

The university is being developed over 125 acres and is envisioned as a major hub for cooperative education and research.

The meeting was attended by senior ministry officials, representatives from Institute of Rural Management Anand, CPWD officials, and consultant architects from Arch-En Design.

Discussions focused on key student-centric infrastructure, including academic blocks, transport systems, healthcare facilities, libraries, hostels, lifts, and visitor areas. Officials shared inputs to ensure that the campus is designed with efficiency, accessibility, and future needs in mind.

Emphasizing cooperative principles, Bhutani directed that the project be executed with high quality standards and within timelines. Key decisions were also taken regarding building maintenance and student safety, ensuring the university evolves as a modern, secure, and student-friendly institution.
