Dr. Ashish Bhutani, Secretary, Ministry of Cooperation, chaired the Regional Consultation Meet on the National Cooperative Training Framework (NCTF) in Guwahati, Assam, on Friday.
The consultation was jointly organised by the Ministry of Cooperation and Tribhuvan Sahkari University (TSU), bringing together representatives from the cooperative education and training ecosystem to discuss ways to strengthen capacity building across the sector.
Prof. (Dr.) S. P. Singh, Vice Chancellor of Tribhuvan Sahkari University, along with faculty members of the University, also participated in the meeting.
The discussions focused on developing a unified and quality-driven approach to cooperative education, with emphasis on quality-assured, outcome-oriented training programmes and region-specific capacity building.
The consultation also explored ways to strengthen the cooperative training ecosystem through improved institutional coordination and standardised training practices.
The initiative aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “Sahkar Se Samriddhi” and the government’s broader efforts to build professionally managed, transparent and capable cooperative institutions across the country.
