Saraswat Bank has issued a public alert warning job seekers against rising recruitment scams carried out in the name of reputed banks. In a social media post, the bank said fraudsters are targeting candidates through fake job messages, emails and phone calls promising urgent vacancies in trusted banking institutions.
The bank cautioned that such scams often involve demands for interview fees, training charges or sensitive personal and banking information. Saraswat Bank stressed that genuine recruitment processes never begin with pressure tactics or requests for payment from applicants.
Advising people to remain vigilant, the bank urged candidates to verify vacancies only through official websites and authenticated communication channels before applying for any position. The awareness message was shared as part of the bank’s cyber safety and fraud prevention campaign.
