Soon after returning to India following his election to the Global Board of the International Cooperative Alliance (ICA), IFFCO Chairman Dileep Sanghani paid a courtesy visit to former IFFCO Managing Director Dr. U.S. Awasthi at his residence in New Delhi Wednesday morning.
The meeting came shortly after Sanghani’s victory in the ICA Global Board elections in Panama, where he was elected as an At-Large Director, representing the Indian cooperative movement on the global body.
Awasthi welcomed Sanghani and congratulated him on the achievement, describing it as a matter of pride for Bharat and IFFCO on the global cooperative stage. He also wished Sanghani continued success in his new international role.
Sharing details of the meeting, Awasthi said it was a pleasure to welcome Sanghani following his “spectacular victory” in the ICA election.
Sanghani, in his post, expressed heartfelt thanks to Awasthi for his affection and warmth. He said the former IFFCO MD had expressed his pleasure over his election as a Director on the ICA Global Board.
The meeting brought together two prominent figures associated with IFFCO and the Indian cooperative movement.
