Sanghani to head rural banking body NIRB

Dileepbhai Sanghani has been appointed as the Chairman of Karnataka based National Institute for Rural Banking (NIRB) on Monday. Sanghani replaced B S Vishwanathan.

Sharing the details through his social media post, the newly appointed Chairman wrote, “National Institute of Rural Banking, NIRB Bangalore has been working as a Training & Management Development Institute in the country for the rural banking sector for over 25 years. Thanks to Dr. BS Vishwanathan, Former Chairman, NIRB, Secretary P.V. Prabhu and all the Trustees for appointing me to the post of Chairman, NIRB”.

 Soon after the appointment, Sanghani was felicitated by the representatives of NIRB and other senior cooperators. NCUI CE Sudhir Mahajan accompanied Sanghani. Sanghani is also the President of the apex body NCUI and Chairman of co-op titan IFFCO.

The objective NIRB is to facilitate quality training, nurture operational and management skills, undertake study, research and extend consultancy services to RFIs of moderate costs.”
