IFFCO Chairman Dileep Sanghani met Defence Minister Rajnath Singh at his residence in New Delhi and discussed the role of cooperatives in strengthening the agricultural sector and improving farmers’ welfare.
Sharing details of the meeting on social media, Sanghani said he apprised the Defence Minister of IFFCO’s various initiatives and the ongoing efforts to empower the cooperative movement across the country.
He highlighted the contribution of cooperatives in supporting farmers through sustainable agricultural practices, improved access to inputs and the promotion of community-based development models.
According to Sanghani, the discussion also focused on the growing importance of the cooperative sector in advancing the government’s vision of rural development and strengthening the agricultural economy.
IFFCO, one of India’s largest cooperative institutions, has been actively promoting farmer-centric initiatives and expanding its activities in line with the Ministry of Cooperation’s objective of building a stronger and more inclusive cooperative ecosystem.
