IFFCO Chairman Dileep Sanghani held a significant meeting at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) headquarters in New York, where discussions focused on agricultural development, rural livelihoods, cooperative-led development models and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
During the interaction with senior UNDP officials, Sanghani highlighted the achievements of the Indian cooperative movement and outlined IFFCO’s role in empowering farmers through sustainable agricultural practices, technology adoption and rural support initiatives.
The meeting also explored opportunities for future partnerships and collaboration in the fields of agriculture and rural development. Both sides held positive deliberations on strengthening cooperative-based approaches to improve livelihoods and promote inclusive growth.
The discussions underscored the growing recognition of India’s cooperative model at the global level and its potential contribution towards achieving sustainable and community-driven development goals across rural regions.
